Hunting
Spread across an impressive 1,196 hectares of fishpond terrain lies a modern breeding ground and hunting area for wild ducks and coots – one of the most attractive destinations for hunting tourism in Croatia. This lowland hunting ground, located at an elevation of 98 to 104 meters, is rich in water throughout the year, providing ideal conditions for diverse wildlife and plant species.
Lush vegetation—including reeds, cattails, sedges, ferns, water lilies, and floating nuts—provides a natural habitat for various bird and game species. The population of game is carefully managed in line with fish farming activities, ensuring an optimal balance and the preservation of the natural ecosystem.
In addition to being ideal for hunting, this breeding ground also serves as a resting stop for many migratory birds that pass over the fishponds throughout the year.
The infrastructure for hunters is highly developed:
-
20 boats available to transport hunters to blinds
-
8 movable hunting blinds that can be relocated as needed
-
15 kilometers of maintained embankments with a narrow-gauge railway
-
Accommodation, restaurant, and additional facilities for rest and recreation
Thanks to the mild continental climate, hunting conditions are favorable for most of the year, making this destination a top choice for hunters and nature enthusiasts alike.
Good hunting!
